New Version of Picasa

Google has updated Picasa.  Looks like a pretty substantial improvement on an already solid program. A lot more image manipulation tools. Some nice widgets, including the "collage" feature that allows you to group cat photos together, as seen below. They built in support for posting to Blogger. Not unexpected, but a little sad that it can't offer an open API. Of course, if they did open it up, would it be fair to the Blogger folks who work at Google? That's the price of acquiring a company, I suppose.

My wife is outblogging me by a long way lately. She has recently upped the ante by combining two powerful blogging themes: Knitting and cat photos -- two great tastes that taste great together. Behold the majesty....
